Zimbed,
what on earth is that?

Since childhood, I have been in search of the joy of the earth – on the backs of various horses: Where could a person's soul be better placed? Horses are my life! And yet, as every passionate rider knows, there are horses and then there are horses – Once-in-a-lifetime-horses, for example! That one special horse, which every rider encounters only once in their life and which transforms them from the core. It happened to me too! In a moment of arrogance, when I thought I knew how 'it' works, I met my greatest teacher, who continues to inspire me to this day.
I saw him, and he was my horse. The most challenging horse I had ever encountered. A unique character, a genius, a sir, a gentleman, someone who knows it all, almost human-like. He questioned everything I knew and threw me back to where I still had to learn – within myself! This journey of self-awareness was challenging and rugged, yet it guided me to face myself in the mirror. It unveiled a deeper connection with my horse, one I never deemed possible, introducing an entirely new dimension of joy into my life.
The horse one truly wants to ride must be loved
and only when that mysterious connection occurs,
which one might call mutual affection, because language
knows no other term for this secret ,
only then does the rider experience the final and complete devotion of the animal
with every beat of its heart, yes, with every thought
and only then does it become true riding.
Depending on the perspective one takes,
some speak of a gifted riders
some babble about posture; the wiser ones talk about
a particularly refined sense of empathy.
And all around, the whole thing is called equestrian harmony .
And yet, it's simply the heart.———

Zimbed Equines is the result of my love story with this Once-in-a-lifetime-horse, that profoundly shaped my journey. A tribute to this special partnership; to the magic that can arise from the connection between horse and rider on all levels; to my greatest teacher who brought out the best in me; to my fondness for exceptional horses, noble Lusitanos and self-assured stallions in particular, as they, with their uncompromising and clear honesty, consistently reflect me back to myself. Zimbed Equines embodies not only my lifelong love for dressage and the sport itself but also the idea that riding and working with the horse is a school for life. This school has taught me to perceive riding as an art!
